An article on the Diamond DA42 Twin Star will appear in the magazine, Aeronautical Engineering, published by the Japan Aeronautical Engineers’ Association

In March 2010, the editorial staff of the magazine, Aeronautical Engineering visited Alpha Aviation’s operation center in RJSF and interviewed the staff about the DA42. This interview will appear in the June issue of the magazine, Aeronautical Engineering, which is published by the Japan Aeronautical Engineers’ Association.

■Summary of the article
This article focuses on two main features of the DA42 Twin Star: (i) the composite material and (ii) the diesel engine, and concludes that these feature will be mainstream technology in general aviation in the near future. Thanks to the composite material, the DA42 is safer and more economical than other types of old aircraft. The diesel engine is electronically managed by FADEC and uses JET A-1, which is available at all airports in Japan. In Japan, AVGAS is rarely available at airports, so the diesel engine is welcome by the airplane owner.

JCAB issued Supplemental Type Certificate of Centurion 2.0 for Cessna 172 An article on the Centurion 2.0 for Cessna 172 will appear in the magazine Aeronautical Engineering published by the Japan Aeronautical Engineers’ Association

Alpha Aviation got the Supplemental Type Certificate of the Centurion 2.0 for the Cessna 172 by JCAB on April 28th 2010 and wrote a report on the Centurion 2.0 retrofit kit for Cessna 172. This report will appear in the magazine “Aeronautical Engineering” June issue published by the Japan Aeronautical Engineers’ Association.

■Summary of the article
This article is an overview which explains the merits of the Centurion 2.0 and the procedure of retrofitting. This engine uses the Jet A-1, which is easy to obtain in Japan and has good operating efficiency. This is the first article in Japan to introduce the general aviation diesel engine .

An article on Alpha Aviation appeared in the magazine “Ishigaki” published by the Japan chamber of commerce and industry

Shizuka Saito, president of Alpha Aviation, was interviewed about her company’s policy on human resource development by the magazine, “Ishigaki”. The interview appeared in the May 2010 issue.

Alpha Aviation has kept its top level market share in the Japanese flight training business for more than nine years and is now marking their 24th accident-free year. These achievements were made possible by the exemplary communication among the staff. President Saito has focused on talking with staff and encouraging teamwork.
